Sally from the Valley

Sally come up from the valley

To the market over the hill

As we stood by the pears

The whole world disappeared

But our baskets continued to fill

We didn't know what we were doing

As we bounced down the sides of the isles

I was took by surprise

By the gaze in her eyes

It was later I noticed the smile

Goodbye again, Sally beloved

Here's to the best for us all

Though I fear that the best

Might look more like a test

And quite full of most threatening awe

So Sally goes out of her song again

Sharing her powerful eyes

She speaks not a word

And I'm following her

To where each thought goes

When it dies
